Yes, a very sad loss. I had not heard from him in a while and Googled to see that he died earlier in the month. This is the forum that I was introduced to him ten years ago. We've had some great discussions, trades and bayonet collecting adventures when RGuns got in a pile of Russian AKM bayonets ...

Nice example!

I went through my Russians and came across two with this arsenal mark. Both have 4-digit serial numbers.

I've never seen that side "bump" before. Fascinating.

The last picture "G" looks like a Romy G trunnion mark. Weird.

Look at the torx bit type screw that is attaching the handle on the middle bayonet in the three bayonets picture. That's weird and leads me to believe that the pommel was removed to RIT dye the handle. I am skeptical that these are "real".

I checked mine and I only have one Yugo bayonet with a marking in this area. The bayonet and scabbard are not serialized.

I have C 7300. It has a red insulator and black frog. The scabbard is not serialized.

I'll need to dig it out to post pics. Mike - you might recall it from the other forum?

I'm in agreement with you Mike. I also have a Romanian bayonet that was factory wrapped in the bag and it looked just like yours.
