Kalashnikov Bayonets of the World

I am awaiting pics of the hangers that came with 2 of these bayonets that a friend just acquired.
I think we will find they are the same as the ones that Loris pictured earlier in this thread. The hanger itself is regular pebbled brown, but look at the attachment to the clip. That is where the difference seems to come in (I think?)

Brian, I completely missed that odd attachment without a D-ring. Most recent pictures I have seen of one of these bayonets has the hanger with the triangular D-ring that is from one of the arsenal refurbishment places.

Yes, I missed the Hanger variation without the "D" ring as well. I have seen that before in other pictures and will try to find them.

In the mean time I was doing some research on Polish Bayonets and found these pictures in a Polish reference book and scanned them. It appears the Russians supplied this "prototype" 6X5 to Poland for testing. Note the Polish hanger and slotted catch button.

Just pics I found online over the years. I don't have one either, or the prototype under discussion.
Doubt funds would allow for either anytime soon.

I'm also looking for one of the 6X5's with the narrow cross guard like in Mike's photo.

I found one but the guy wants $500 for it, which I think is a little high.

Here is another borrowed picture of the unusual hanger on one of the previous pictures of the Russian 6X5 prototype bayonets. It is shown with a Russian 6X4 Type II scabbard. Also pictures of a couple of my more common standard second type brown pebble hangers for comparison. It appears the flat stamped sheet metal bracket had a couple of small rectangular slots punched out as well as the 4 rivet holes. After the bracket is then folded over a round die, the bracket is then positioned slightly lower on the leather straps before riveting. The small slots are then opposing and provide an attaching point for the snap hook. A savings in material, no "D" ring, and assemble time. This variation would also prevent the bayonet and scabbard from swiveling around so much when worn. For some reason they seem to be quite rare. Never produced in quantity or accepted?

Interesting how sharp the point is! Would love to find out more about these, and am obviously after an original hanger. Thanks to the member who was able to organize this for me. I found one in Russia, but getting it out would have been challenging, and someone came to my rescue by finding one outside Russia for a fair price.

good afternoon. if I can, I would like to clarify a bit about the knife that is depicted in the Polish book of Mr. B. this product is not considered a bayonet. the photo clearly says NO-101. the letter N is the first letter in the word - knife in Russian, and the letter O is the first letter in the word - hunting. on this product is called in Russian - hunting knife 101.
they appeared on sale in Russia in the 90's. were produced at the Izhevsk plant from the remaining blanks for the experimental bayonet 6x5. find them today is very difficult and they stand as an experimental bayonet.
