Very nice pictures Vitaly! Thanks for sharing! I also would like to have a Prototype 6X5 bayonet and scabbard for my collection. However it's out of my price range for now. I collect only Kalashnikov bayonets, but enjoy seeing the similar fighting knife and scabbard as well. Mike

I also collect only bayonets from AK and I am very glad to get acquainted with all of you. there are difficulties with some models but I do not lose hope.

Hi Vitteva, The amount I can afford to pay for anything varies according to my bank account and investments. Also the amount I pay varies on my interests and priorities at any given time. At this time my upper limit on a single item would be $300. - $500.. I need to start trading some of my duplicates and extras. Mike

The price is interesting. It is a little rough and non-matching numbers. Not up to my usual standards. ALSO it is very difficult to have a weapon mailed out of Russia, (Moldavia). Customs are very strict. Items like that usually have to be carried out. Very risky.

hi, Moldova is not Russia today and I do not know their laws but if you want I can write to him to find out how he is going to send a bayonet. my bayonet was sent from Finland although I bought it in St. Petersburg. vitaly

Thank you all for the education on this bayonet, due to my absence from collecting for a few years; and therefore no communication with other bayonet collectors for the same time frame, I was totally unaware of its existence.
The information confirmed in this post is priceless, thank you all.

Further to my ‘Big thanks’ post in the Off topic discussion of the website, here are some photos of the new ‘pièce de résistance’ of my collection, with some nice history of actually use in Afghanistan.

So I am now looking for a narrow cross guard variant of the 6X5 series of bayonets, but I am a patient man.

Indeed I was very pleased to be able to add this to my collection. Due to my current health issues, which put a block on spending, I was not expecting to be in a position to add one to my collection for some time. So I am very grateful to the generosity of my fellow member, for agreeing to trade for it. :Tx:
